The University Management has observed a significant increase in the presence of individuals from outside the university community who lack a defined purpose or business on the campus premises. This surge has led to an uncontrollable access to the university campus and its facilities, thereby posing a potential security threat to both the university staff and students.
In response to this concern, the Vice Chancellor has issued a directive effective from Friday, 1st March 2024. According to this directive, all students are mandated to wear their Student Identity Cards whenever they are within the university premises.
It is crucial to note that any student found without their student identity card will be denied access to:
i. The University campus
ii. Lecture rooms
iii. Examination halls
This directive is a proactive measure taken by the university’s management to ensure the safety and security of everyone within the campus environment. It aims to regulate access and prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
This communication serves to inform all students of this development, urging them to comply with the directive to avoid any unforeseen consequences. Your cooperation is highly appreciated as we work together to maintain a secure and conducive learning environment.
For any clarification or additional information, students are encouraged to contact the relevant university authorities.
Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
